After living in the Sacramento area for almost five years now, we finally made it to Daffodil Hill. Lots of history, lots of animals, lots of people taking pictures, and of course, lots of daffodils (about 300,000 bulbs they estimate).
We had a great time. Pictures describe this better then words…
You know I could REALLY dig this homeschool thing, if we could ditch the core textbook subjects and just do field trips, hands on learning, art, cooking, p.e., foreign language, drama…you know basically all the fun stuff???!!!
Off to spend some time lesson planning for this week.
Now there is just 64 school days left until summer.

Dude, you live in Sacramento? I’m from Folsom! I totally remember going to Daffodil Hill!!!!

I haven’t been there in ages! I’m glad you guys had fun.
So so beautiful! So jealous. The wildflowers are popping up all along the highways here, big wildflowers.. I so want to take pictures of my kids in them, but I can only find them right along the highway.. so not a good spot to do it
Hi there…Finally following back! We home school through a virtual academy, it takes the stress off, at least I know I’m not forgetting something. The flowers are gorgeous, I’m going to check on my bulbs and see how they’re doing!
